Kumar works with individuals who have significant difficulties with reading and writing. This  is diagnosed as Specific Learning Disorder (DSM-5: Impairment in Reading/Writing) and also known as Reading Disorder (DSM-IV), dyslexia or dysgraphia.  He is also interested in other learning disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity (ADHD) and also contemporary issues such as internet addiction.  He recently published his first independent paper in the Journal of autism and development disorders, entitled ” Parenting styles, parental stress and hours spent online as predictors of internet addiction among children with autism”.  https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10803-021-05324-x
