ABOUT LAZARUS CENTRE

What is our mission?

Lazarus Centre is committed to bringing evidence based intervention to children seeking help with learning difficulties.  These include kids with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Dyslexia. We firmly believe that all children can learn. As such, we are dedicated to creative, evidence-based and individualised teaching designed to promote learning.

How are we different from others?

We firmly believe only in evidence based. This means we only prescribe therapies that have shown strong scientific results. We have summarised some of these results in our website (see Reading). Such therapies include Applied Behavioral Analysis (“ABA”) as well as Orton-Gillingham approach.

We also benchmark children at the start by undertaking standardized testing and measuring such progress over time.

Lazarus Centre is run by Eileen Chew, who is one of the few Board Certified Behaviour Analysts in Singapore.

Is Lazarus Centre a medical clinic?

Lazarus Centre is not a medical clinic. We do not hold any specific medical licenses, nor are any of our staff medical practitioners.

We are not licensed as health professionals by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC). The AHPC currently does not regulate ABA professionals.  Its purview only covers Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists and Physiotherapists amongst others

We therefore reply on professional body memberships to act as a safeguard.

We are also an Approved Early Intervention Centre. Clients can use Baby Bonus to pay for their services.

What is our customer care policy?

We aim to respond to calls on the same day and make appointments within a week.
